Sun bears down on Salmon Street Springs | Weather

PORTLAND, Ore. - KATU Reporter Valerie Hurst sent in this shot Wednesday of the sun over Salmon Street Springs, a chlorinated "interactive" fountain at Waterfront Park.

Water in this fountain shifts into different patterns, much like many other Portland municipal water features. As such, it's expected to be a fun place for many in the Portland area to frolic while escaping Wednesday's predicted 93-degree heat.
