PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland police are investigating an attack downtown against a group of gay men.

The victims told police they were dressed in drag Sunday night at Southwest 10th Avenue and Stark Street when five men began taunting them.

The men said they were beaten up by members of the group but it won’t keep them from enjoying the city.

"We're not going to stop doing what we do,” Jeffrey Darling, a witness to the attack, told KATU News. “They're never going to get us down. That's what makes Portland so amazing. Go out and be themselves."

Police are investigating the case as a bias crime. No suspect information has been released.
